(ANSA) – Rome, February 12 – Premier Gisueppe Conte said Wednesday “the cost/benefit analysis on the TAV (high-speed rail line between Turin and Lyon), entrusted to qualified experts, has been completed and is now on the transport ministry’s website. We had guaranteed that the outcome of this evaluation would be made available to all citizens, so as to make the whole decision-making process transparent”. The analysis says completing the TAV would mean losing 7-8 billion euros, thus coming out against its completion. Conte said a political decision on the TAV would be made “in the coming weeks”. The 5-Star Movement (M5S) is against it and the League in favour of it.
